And believe me … there are many It will take you a long time to get them all. The real star of the show in terms of extras in the Mui-Mui House, which we can decorate with the objects, furniture and stamps that we collect during the adventure. One of them is a kind of Whack-a-Mole (the typical game of hitting a mole that comes out of a hole) and in the other we will have to guess the winner in a race between several LocoRocos. Once the main game mode is finished, we will have at our disposal a couple of minigames, although the truth is that they are disappointing. At certain times we will access musical mini-games, which are basically based on pressing the circle button at the appropriate moments (synchronized with the rhythm of the song that sounds), and if we overcome them we will obtain more musical notes. One of our objectives during the game will be to collect musical notes that will serve to combat these effects, and also to discover blocked areas, advance the level itself or to unlock furniture to use in the Mui-Mui house. Now, the Moja (our enemies) have learned to sing, and they use their songs to eliminate the flowers and the color of the scenes. The music, which was already one of the most prominent components of the first part (with songs performed by children in a language invented by Kouno) acquires a much greater importance in LocoRoco 2. There are numerous items to discover and alternative ways to overcome the different levels, which provides greater replayability to the title. To overcome the 25 levels of the game we will have to go through different scenarios eliminating the Moja and collecting fruit, which serves to increase the size of the protagonist and, at the same time, allow him to divide into a greater number of LocoRocos. Let no one be fooled by its childish looks: LocoRoco 2 is capable of making even the most experienced players sweat.

It is not so much that the difficulty has increased as a result of the inclusion of new skills (now the LocoRoco can swim), something that is quite well calibrated, but because the level designers have racked their minds to create scenarios that require a lot of precision. Mastering it, yes, is another story …īecause LocoRoco 2 is somewhat more difficult than its predecessor, and it already had moments capable of breaking anyone’s patience. It is an original approach and far removed from the canons of the genre, but with just a few minutes of practice it becomes fully accessible. You can also join several LocoRocos by pressing and holding the circle button, and separate them into several smaller ones by quickly pressing the same button. We will not handle the protagonists directly, but with the L and R triggers we will tilt the stage thirty degrees so that they roll towards the position we want, and by pressing both triggers at the same time we will make them bounce. Obviously, the particular control scheme that the first installment already had is maintained. One does not know if it is due to the genius of Kuono or that aspect so “cute”, but of course that all the creatures that inhabit this particular universe have a special “something”. All the characters in the game (from the LocoRocos to the Mui-Mui, through the Moja or different animals) are also endowed with a lot of charisma.
LOCOROCO PS3 PSP
LocoRoco 2 is a game that, first and foremost, enters through the eyes: its art direction (by Tsutomu Kouno) is by far the best that can be seen on PSP (with permission from Patapon), with bright colors and stylish designs vector. But … don’t you ever get tired of McDonalds hamburgers? Or the chocolate donuts? Or watching Victoria’s Secret fashion shows? Well, with LocoRoco 2 the same thing happens: it may be more of the same, but welcome because we never tire of these adorable and friendly critters. Is offering more of the same a bad thing? I ask this because when they try it, many players will think that LocoRoco 2 does not offer much more to the formula than the first game, and that it has more expansion elements than a sequel, with rather little news.
